Appears sporadically. Distinguised by red circles around some tubercles. Size typically 10-12 cm, body rounder and softer than Pleurobranchus grandis. Prefers sandy areas to grass. Some experts have suggested that they are in fact juvenile P. grandis, but we have observed P. grandis as small as 7 cm and they are perfect little copies of adult P. grandis.
