Appears to be seasonal: Juveniles are seen in winter, and mature specimens in spring, mostly in daytime, at various sites, at all depths. Maximum length observed about 5 cm. Identified by having 5 dark translucent patches on the dorsum (as originally described by Dr. Bill Rudman). Generally has 5 thin black stripes (sometimes broken or fading to orange), and lacks white margin on mantle. Easily confused with Chromodoris quadricolor. The last 2 in the 4th row appear to be deformed or otherwise unusual.
